In case you were getting on with your actual life over the weekend, you may have missed a very peculiar series of events. Fresh from debuting their romance on the grand finale of The Bachelorette Australia, 2017, Sophie Monk and her Chosen One, Stu Laundy, were bombarded with an intense tidal wave of speculation their relationship was already kaput.
Fans went into overdrive, anaylsing everything from their apparent awkward body language during their interview on The Project, pointing out the fact they โ shock horror โ didnโt hold hands when they walked around the terminal at the airport but the cherry on top of the conspiracy theories were a set of worrying photos purporting to show the new lovers having a tense argument in a car park.
Hey, maybe the car fumes had just gotten to their head?
Radio host Kate Langbroek, who interviewed Soph and Stu, even went so far as to say the singer hated him.
Here at Now To Love, we also couldnโt help but notice how different their post-finale social media messages were to other seasons.
Usually the new couple upload a loving video thanking fans and a slew of candid selfies from their secret getaways. These are usually teamed with an essay about how fabulous their shiny new partner is.
But Sophie and Stu steered clear of this and instead opted to pop up a few stock shots from the finale with some love heart emojis and a joke about finally being able to go to the supermarket as a couple.
To be honest, we were a little disappointed at these lackluster efforts.
But then we remembered Sophie and Stu are not social media-obsessed millennials. Sheโs 37, heโs 44 and they have nothing more to prove after professing their undying love for one another on national TV.
But over the weekend, the couple silenced their critics for once and for all in the most Sophie and Stu way.
On Sunday evening after facing days of break-up speculation, Stu shared the most loved-up shot of the couple weโve seen to date.
In the pic, the father-of-four presses his face against Sophieโs as he beams at the camera.
Sophie smiles broadly as she places her hands around him.
Forgoing any words, the publican opted for four love-heart emojis.
Meanwhile, Sophie out Sophied herself by uploading a video of a lovely new pal called Jan, who despite not watching the show, vouched for their relationship.
โI donโt watch The Bachelor. I just read on my Facebook that it says you and Stu are not together anymore and Iโd like to verify that you are. Iโve seen the way youโre behaving. I think itโs inappropriate what theyโre saying,โ Jan explained.
โYeah, same! Thanks Jan,โ Sophie agreed as her and Stu gave her a round of applause.
Janโs hilarious rant comes amid Womanโs Dayโs new interview with the couple, who reveal theyโd love to elope and start a family.
Meanwhile an insider tells NW theyโve already started IVF and are expecting twins.
โThey were prepared to do anything and everything to make it happen, but they didnโt expect it to happen so quickly,โ a source claims.
Before adding they are โover the moon to learn theyโre having two babies.โ
Whatever the truth is, we can all agree one one thing โ weโre all rooting for you two!

Despite intense speculation theyโve already split, Sophie and Stu say theyโre still very much together.
