Considered as one Australiaโs golden media couples, the split has come as shock to those around them.
โWith a heavy heart, CHIC Talent Management client Sophie Falkiner and radio executive Tony Thomas have announced their separation,โ the pair said in an statement to news.com.au.
โThe high profile couple have enjoyed a long and happy 14 years of marriage, but both feel that journey has now reached its end.โ

The coupleโs main focus is to continue parenting their two kids, six year-old son, Jack and 10-year-old daughter Isabella.
The statement continued, โAs a former presenter on The Great Outdoors and Wheel of Fortune, Sophie is one of Australiaโs most recognisable faces. She will continue to be represented by CHIC Talent Management. Tony will continue his management role at Nova Entertainment.โ
โThe couple are now focused on their two young children and they thank close family and friends for all of the support and kindness in recent times.
โThey have asked that their privacy be respected as they work their way through this difficult period,โ they concluded, advising there will be no further comment on their separation.

The family recently enjoyed a vacation in America.
Last week Sophie, 41, made an appearance at Derby Day and celebrated the Melbourne Cup with close friends.
Sophie and Tony have been a couple for over 16 years, and were recently spotted enjoying a holiday in LA and Hawaii with their 10-year-old daughter Isabella, and six year-old son, Jack.

Just a few months ago the 41-year-old mum-of-two was all smiles in Hawaii as she frolicked in the water with husband, Tony Thomas.
