Sonia Kruger’s daughter Maggie, makes her TV debut, as mum heads back to work

It seemed the Mornings host wasn’t ready to leave her bundle of joy behind, appearing in a promo with little Maggie, however channel 9 has confirmed that the kids were actually actors.

David Campbell – who welcomed twins in January – joined the new glowing new mother, as the TV couple joked about juggling parenthood and their work schedule on the set of their popular breakfast program Mornings.

Making light of their parental duties, a voiceover announce “Sonia and David take 52”, while babies can be heard crying, as the duo explain they will be back on Monday morning.

“See they’re asleep, we can so do this,” David joked while rocking his pretend daughter.

“Easy!” Sonia quipped.

The 49-year-old first-time mum told viewers that they’ll be back with big surprises, before sniffing the bub’s nappy and asking David “can you smell that?”

Sonia Kruger welcomed her beautiful daughter Maggie on January 24 and we are so excited to have her back on our screens… no matter how smelly the surprises will be!

While we were convinced Maggie made her TV debut in the promo, instead Sonia’s real daughter stopped by to see Karl and Lisa on the Today Show on Monday, in what was her actual introduction to the world of television.

Sonia held baby Maggie while telling the Today Show hosts that her colleague and close friend, David Campbell, had been an amazing source of support.

Baby Maggie Kruger McPherson was given a more formal introduction to the world this morning on the Today Show

The Big Brother host revealed to the Sydney Morning Herald on Sunday that she and her husband Craig McPherson don’t have plans for anymore kids.

The couple have always been honest about their struggle to conceive via IVF but they finally turned a corner after a friend of Sonia’s donated an egg to the television star.

“I’m so lucky to have Maggie and at the moment all I can think about is looking after her and enjoying her. It’s the best thing ever so I don’t know if I ever want to push my luck again,” she told the newspaper.

The television personality, who gained 10-kilograms during her pregnancy, also described how she is in no rush to lose the weight but has begun a new mother’s Pilates group.

“I feel like a hot mess, my nails are chipped but I don’t care, being with Maggie is everything,” she said.
