The happy radio host is loving that she can indulge her craving for chocolate!
From overwhelmed to overjoyed, Fifi Box says she has felt every emotion during her rollercoaster ride of a pregnancy. As she prepares to raise her baby alone, she admits motherhood is going to be just as tumultuous – but in all the right ways.
The bubbly radio personality, who turns 36 next month, reckons pregnancy suits her to a tee. In fact if there’s one thing she craves more of, it’s… more pregnancy – if only so she can revel in the upside. “I should have spent the last 30 years just saying I was pregnant because now I have a reason for being that lazy and indulgent and eating what I want,” she laughs.
Fifi may have maintained her sense of humour throughout the past months – but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t had her share of ups and downs. Last November she announced she was expecting but refused to name the father. “I began seeing someone at the end of last year who would like to remain out of the public eye, which I will respect and endeavour to protect,” she said. After much speculation, it was revealed in December the father was in fact Australian ironman Grant Kenny.
But if Fifi thought that was the end of the drama, she was wrong! “[I had] incredible morning sickness, so bad,” she says. “Now what has kicked in is low blood pressure, there have been a few fainting spells and then there is a pinched sciatic nerve. I can’t actually get in and out of cars at the moment.”
