Sofia Vergara has revealed she’s ready for more kids and nothing will get in her way, not even her recent break-up.
The Columbian beauty, who already has a 21-year-old son, Manolo, is said to be desperate to have more children and wants them as soon as possible.
Woman’s Day hears theModern Familystar is looking into surrogacy as an option and has since done all the ground work, undergoing fertility injections and even having her eggs frozen.
“When Manolo was born, she was too young and scared to relax and enjoy being a mum. Now she’s mature and successful enough to really appreciate the experience,” a source said.
“Sofia has a very close friend who knew how much she wanted to be a second-time mom, so she’s volunteered to carry the child.”
The 41-year-old actress has always been vocal about her desire for a big family and last year she expressed her concerns that time was running out.
“My doctor had told me, ‘We have a small window’,” she said. “I don’t want to wait forever.”
Although she’s spending some time with her old flame Tom Cruise, a newly-single Sofia says she isn’t fazed about the prospect of tackling motherhood alone.
“She’s not about to let being a single parent stop her quest to be a mom,” the source added.
“Sofia has a lot of support from her family and they will always be there for her.”
