Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick make a rare public appearance with their kids

The family-of-five stepped out for a red carpet premiere.

Sarah Jessica Parker and hubby Matthew Broderick headed to the red carpet premiere of Broadway’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in New York City on Sunday, April 23. The longtime couple, mainstays in the city’s theatre district, also brought along their three kids — James Wilkie, 14, and 7½-year-old twins Loretta and Tabitha.

Impressively, the event marks the family’s first ever official appearance altogether as well as the twins’ red carpet debut.

The happy family-of-five!

Luckily for us, SJP — most well-known for her portrayal of Carrie Bradshaw in the rom-com television series Sex And The City — documented the evening from start to finish on social media.

In a video shared to her Instagram, the 52-year-old star can be heard singing “It’s A Family Affair” as the brood makes its way to the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre by car.

“Yipee! On our way to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the whole family get to go and cheer for our dear @scottwittman and @marc_shaiman,” she captioned the clip.

She also shared a snap of her ticket — adorably fashioned into a ‘golden ticket’ — and the show’s program.

“A lot of VERY happy people just left the Lunt-Fontanne theatre in NYC. Count the Parker-Brodericks among them,” she captioned the image.

She added: “Join the joy and be an audience at ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.’”

Naturally, the family looked incredibly chic as they posed for photographs on the purple carpet.

Sarah opted for an ankle-grazing floral dress, paired with a metallic-green blazer and coordinating heels from her own line, while the twins sported coordinating pink coats and delicate flats.

Father and son kept things classic with a button-up shirt and tie combo.

Impressively, the event marks the family’s first ever official appearance altogether.

Sarah was beaming with pride for her lovely girls.

Sarah and Matthew welcomed son James into the world in 2002 before growing their then-small family with daughters Marion Loretta and Tabitha Hodge seven years later through a surrogate.

“I tried and tried and tried and tried and tried to get pregnant but it just was not to be, the conventional way,” she told Vogue back in 2010.

“I would give birth as often as I could, if I could. I cherished all the milestones, the good and the bad.”
