With guests like Ellen DeGeneres, Courtney Cox and Jimmy Kimmel, Sia’s voice chose a pretty poor time to give out.
She’s the Adelaide born singer who has taken on the world, but the 39-year-old revealed that even she can’t always hit the high notes.
The Titanium hit maker chatted to Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa where she lifted the lid on her performance at the wedding of the year.
The star was asked what the most public moment her voiced had cracked, when she explained, “I sang at my friend’s wedding a couple of weeks ago and it was actually just laughable.”
It took some time for a coy Sia let slip that the friend’s wedding in question wasn’t a pal from high school, or an old workmate – it was actually the biggest name in Hollywood, Jennifer Aniston.
“I went for the Chandelier chorus and it was like, it was actually hilarious. It sounded like three weird squeaky notes at the same time were coming out, it ruined the entire chorus,” she told Fitzy and Wippa.
This wasn’t the only time the star’s voice has cracked at the worst possible time, it also happened during a performance in front US President Barack Obama at the Democratic National Committee’s LGBT Gala in 2014.
“I think I did three songs and I think the end was ‘Titanium’ and I just couldn’t even hit that high note by the end, it was hilarious,” she said.
“That was for real, I opened my mouth and a squeak came out.”
