The outspoken wife of heavy metal singer-songwriter Ozzy Osbourne has taken a cheeky jibe at the Duchess of Cambridge’s makeup, calling it “dated”.
The 61-year-old English television host made the ridiculous remarks on ITV show Lorraine, alongside her fashion-buff daughter Kelly, while promoting their M.A.C makeup range.
Asked which celeb she would choose to make over if she ever had the chance, Sharon was quick to pick Her Royal Highness, who just happens to be regarded as a style icon.
“I think Kate should stop wearing the black eyeliner,” she said.
“She is so stunning and she needs to open her eyes out, not close them.”
No doubt used to her mother’s offhand and sometimes downright offensive jokes, Kelly, 29, seemed less than impressed by the comments.
“I’m just waiting to see what wrath of fury you’re going to get for saying that,” said the Fashion Police presenter.
“There are certain people in this world that will always be untouchable,” she added.
Sharon later tried to defend herself by saying, “She’s an amazing young woman, she’s gorgeous, but the black eyeliner is so dated and it’s just too hard.”
Not surprisingly, this isn’t the first time Sharon’s sharp tongue has got her into strife.
