The 52-year-oldโ€™s children Jackson, Summer and Brooke were front and centre alongside Shaneโ€™s parents Brigette and Keith.

A slew of Shaneโ€™s cricketing peers were in attendance, including retired England skipper Michael Vaughan, former Australian Test captains Mark Taylor, Allan Border, and Michael Clarke, and former teammates Mark Waugh and Ian Healy.

The procession was held at Moorabbin in honour of Shaneโ€™s long love for the St Kilda Football Club, and guests wore the clubโ€™s scarves in his honour.

Shaneโ€™s coffin was driven around the oval to Bill Medley and Jennifer Warneโ€™s song The Time of My Life which was followed by a eulogy from the funeralโ€™s host Eddie McGuire.

At one point, Eddie encouraged mourners to raise their glasses and cheer for Shane and said, โ€œTo Warnieโ€ฆ he was simply the best.โ€

โ€œThe reason why he was so loved is because he was fallible, he was Superman. You threw the ball to Warne, you sat in that Southern Stand and he did the things you dreamt of doing as a kid,โ€ Eddie told The Herald Sun outside of the service.

The attendees raised a glass for the cricket legend.

โ€œHe had the hat trick, took 700 wickets, the Gatting ball, he did everything.

โ€œHe did the things like wow, I wonder what it would be like to be a playboy in London society,โ€ he continued.

โ€œThe magic part about Shane Warne was that he sprinkled his gold dust everywhere he went.

Shaneโ€™s former love Elizabeth Hurley announced before the private funeral that she sadly couldnโ€™t attend.

She shared the news on Instagram: โ€œMy heart aches that I canโ€™t be in Australia tomorrow for Shaneโ€™s funeral,โ€ she wrote.

โ€œI was filming last night and, with the time jump, physically canโ€™t get there. These pictures were taken in Sri Lanka to celebrate our engagement โ€“ we had all our children with us, and it was the happiest time,โ€ she wrote.

โ€œIt still hasnโ€™t really sunk in that heโ€™s gone. It seems too cruel that all the people who loved him will never have another Lion hug, but our memories will live forever. RIP Lionheart, with love, your Luna.โ€

Shaneโ€™s state funeral will be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on the evening of March 30.
