Shane Warne’s family share heartfelt tributes on the anniversary of his death

It has been a year since Shane Warne’s passing from a sudden heart attack in Thailand, his family have come forward to share some heartfelt messages to remember the cricket legend.

On the anniversary of his death, Brooke shared a flashback video of her with her dad.

“I love you Dad,” she began.

“I will always remember us this way, laughing & happy. 1 year today, feels like yesterday you were taken but forever since I’ve seen you. I miss your big hugs so much & you telling me everything is okay, life will never be the same without you Dad, I miss you.

In her own tribute, Summer Warne revealed she missed her dad “every second of every day.”

“I’m still trying to navigate life without you here, trying my best to live in a world without you in it,” she said.

“I miss you when I laugh and cry because you were always the one that made my laughter grow, and my tears disappear. I miss the memories we will never get to have. I hold you close within my heart, and there you you shall remain, until the day that we meet again.”

Their brother, Jackson shared his own tribute video which began with a collection of motivation lines from movies with the theme of “it gets easier”. He wrote: “Miss you mate, love Jacko.”

Shane’s ex-partner, Simone Callahan shared an old video of the cricket legend with his three children messing around.

“Remembering Shane , Always bringing Joy and Love to our children Brooke, Jackson & Summer,” she wrote.

“He just wanted to be the best Dad , We miss you , forever in our Hearts, I hope you have found comfort & Peace”.

Elizabeth Hurley, who started dating Shane in 2010 and became engaged in 2011 before their split in 2013, posted a photo of them at the ‘Love Lock’ bridge in Paris. Couples would engrave their names onto locks, attach them onto the bridge and throw the key into the Seine River.

“A year without Shane. You’ll be missed forever. I hope our padlock is still there,” the actress wrote.
