Shane Warne has been read the riot act for swearing during live crosses of Channel Ten’s reality TV show I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Team leader Paul “The Chief” Harragon was given the task of warning the contestants that colourful language is not ideal, especially when hosts Julia Morris and Chris Brown visit them each day and that part of the show goes to air without delay.

“While you’re encouraged to express your feelings in a clear, robust manner, in such a way it does not contravene the Australian Broadcasting regulations,” said the Chief, reading from a warning from the producers.

“So, bottom line is, when Julia and Chris come in and deliver what they’ve got to deliver, at least for a minute after that, it’s still a hundred per cent live in here. They take all our stuff.”

The warning comes after cricketer Shane Warne lost his temper when he was again nominated for a tucker trial – a segment where contestants eat all kinds of weird and wonderful things in a bid to get food for camp.

“I swore yesterday,” conceded Shane upon hearing the statement.

Harragon added: “Everything then in that minute, they can’t stop it, it goes straight through. That’s the bottom line … We already knew that.”

The show is pitched as a “hit family entertainment show” by Channel Ten and its prime-time broadcast means some kids were accidentally privy to Warne’s fragrant outburst.

“Should someone tell Warne there are kids watching and to curb the F-bombs … Don’t vote for him to stay please,” tweeted Jeff Meyers.

Nancy Keaton wrote, “Watch the language @ShaneWarne just dropped a few f-bombs on my little brother!”
