Selma Blair has certainly had a turbulent week, with the actress being removed from a flight and hospitalised after she mixed alcohol and prescription drugs.
But things took a positive turn for the Cruel Intentions star on Thursday when she celebrated her 44th birthday with her son by her side.
Sharing a sweet snap of her four-year-old Arthur giving her a kiss, the actress wrote, “‘And so what should I wish?’ And he whispered it in my ear right then. I ask my angel for it to be true every day. And to do the same for others.”
She added, “Thank you @wildersatheart for loving us this birthday. Your patience. Your support. We [love] you. And a sincere thank you to all those who sent me the spirit of loving and forgiveness. It is a new birth year. Thank you.”
On Wednesday, the 44-year-old apologised for her bizarre outburst that led to the actress being taken from the airport to hospital on a stretcher.

“I made a big mistake yesterday,” she said in a statement to Vanity Fair.
“After a lovely trip with my son and his Dad, I mixed alcohol with medication, and that caused me to black out and led me to say and do things that I deeply regret.”
Selma went on to apologise to the crew and passengers on board the flight from Cancun to Los Angeles, admitting she’s “human” and sometimes makes “mistakes”.
