But don’t worry, Sandra explained during her appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show that despite crying a lot on the day dedicated to mum’s, they were all happy tears!
“It was all happy tears. I just cry at anything now,’ the actress reassured.
“But everything he does [makes me cry],” Sandy added.
Speaking about how her five-year-old son Louis helped celebrate the day, the Gravity star said her son serenaded her with a sweet song.
“He sang me a song that he wrote. He said ‘I wrote you a song,’ and I didn’t have the heart to tell him he plagiarised. But it was, you know, ‘Bingo.’ You know ‘Bingo,’ the song.”
Sandra then gave a rendition of the sweet song Louis sang, who also insisted he is five-and-half – adding that the extra six months is super important.
“[The song goes], ‘There was a mum I love so much and Sandy was her name-o.’ And then he played the harmonica in between and then he just kept looking at me.”
Even Ellen couldn’t help but melt at how precious the gift was.
“He sounds like he has a great personality,” the television host said. “Yeah he’s all boy with a really tender heart,” the proud mum responded.
Sandra also dished that she loves taking her son, who is originally New Orleans, back to the city for Mardis Gras.
“You took him to Mardi Gras. What kind of mother are you?” Ellen joked.
“I think a good one. I think if you’re gonna learn, you’re gonna learn,” Sandra laughed.
