Just because she’s played the roles of hard-hitting, straight-talking cops in comedy flicks such as Miss Congeniality and The Heat, doesn’t mean Sandra Bullock is as tough in real life.
The-49-year old actress is worried she may be in danger after a crazed fan allegedly broke into her Los Angeles home on Sunday morning while she and her little boy Louis were inside.
Joshua James Corbett, 39, broke into Sandra’s home over the weekend, before being discovered by Sandra herself at 6:30am.
He now stands accused of residential burglary, stalking and a possession of a machine gun. It is beleived he was unarmed at the time of the incident.
Since the incident it has emerged that Corbett was so obsessed with the Gravity star that he kept a diary about her.
He managed to climb over a barbed wire fence and dodge security cameras gaining entry into Sandra’s property. Once inside, he went through her personal items before being spotted.
TMZ is reporting that Corbett had no intention of stealing anything, but just wanted one-on-one time with the actress.
Luckily, Sandra and her son were unharmed during the break-in, although the ordeal has left her shaken and fearing for the safety of her son. The Oscar winner isn’t taking any chances and has since obtained an emergency protection order.
Woman’s Day understands, police responded to reports of a “hot prowler” at the actress’s home just hours before Sandra accepted an award at Spike TV’s Guys’ Choice Awards.
Corbett has pleaded not guilty to the charges and the judge set his bond at $185,000.
