Sandra Bullock is already the proud mum to five-year-old Louis, who she adopted in 2010, and now the Oscar Winner has opened up her home, and more importantly her heart to another gorgeous bundle of joy.

Three-and-a-half-year-old Laila (pronounced Lila) graces the cover of People magazine with her brother and mum – needless to say they look every part the perfect family.

“When I look at Laila, there’s no doubt in my mind that she was supposed to be here,” the 51-year-old said of her daughter who had been in foster care in Louisiana.

“I can tell you absolutely, the exact right children came to me at the exact right time,” she added.

Sandra knows the frustrations of adoption well after beginning the process of expanding her family three years ago.

“Louis spearheaded this whole journey,” the actress revealed, and although the brother and sister have the strongest of bonds now, that wasn’t always the case.

“I knew she was scared, and all I wanted was for her to know Louis and I weren’t going anywhere,” Sandy said of her daughter, who came into their lives earlier this year.

Not only has Laila brought a whole heap of joy into the mum-of-two’s life, she has also added “pink and glitter in the house mixed with Legos and Batmans.”

The stunning family photographs shared with People magazine were taken by Sandra’s boyfriend Bryan Randall and they certainly highlight the brood’s dynamic in all its glory.

Taking to Instagram to share the cover, Bryan mused that he was “honored to shoot this story. #greatfulandblessed.”

“My family is blended and diverse, nutty, and loving and understanding,” she beamed. “That’s a family.”

Touchingly, Sandra, who is clearly bursting with pride, revealed just how in love with her life she is.

“I have no idea what a traditional family looks like anymore. If a traditional home is one that is filled with lots of love and poop jokes, no sleep, schedule books filled with more kids’ social events than adults’ and lots of yelling over who touched who first, then I have a very traditional family.”

Congratulations Sandy, we could not be happier for you.
