For years, Samantha Armytage has been open about her desire to find a man and start a family of her own.
“I don’t shy away from saying it would be lovely to get married and have children,” Sam has revealed. “It would be nice.”
Now, it looks like the Sunrise host might finally be getting her happily ever after.
Insiders have revealed to Woman’s Day the popular breakfast TV star was expected to be whisked away to New York for the holiday season by her millionaire private jet tycoon boyfriend Paul O’Brien – and she was desperately hoping he might be planning to pop the question on their romantic getaway.

And despite their relatively short courtship – they are believed to have been dating since early 2018 – friends say they wouldn’t be surprised if a proposal was on the cards.
“Sam has always wanted to have a white Christmas and Paul thought he would surprise her with the ultimate gesture – flying her to New York last minute on one of his private jets,” a source tells Woman’s Day exclusively.
“He was going all out to make it special for her. I wouldn’t be surprised if he planned to use the trip to propose.”

The TV veteran, 42, has kept her romance with Paul quiet since they started dating, after meeting through mutual friend and Sunrise sports presenter Mark Beretta.
But friends say Sam couldn’t help but gush with excitement about their trip in the lead-up to Christmas, telling close friends and family she was hoping Paul would be the ultimate romantic and get down on one knee.
Paul was married to Brisbane-based Ten Eyewitness News presenter Georgina Lewis for nine years, but they separated at the start of 2018.

In March, Sam and Paul were spotted walking her pet labrador Banjo together in Sydney. More recently they were seen having breakfast together in Melbourne during the AFL Grand Final weekend in late September.
While Sam has remained mum on her relationship and chosen to enjoy her new love out of the public eye, her Seven colleagues have reportedly been aware of the romance for some time.
“She’s been tight-lipped about the details, but she’s told some of the girls she’s met a bloke who literally swept her off her feet,” one colleague told Woman’s Day in October.
Now, they’re hoping Sam will return to air in January with some good news to share!
