Sunrise weatherman Sam Mac and his girlfriend, Rebecca James have welcomed their baby and it’s a darling little girl!
Proud new dad Sam took to Instagram to announce his daughter’s arrival on Sunday night, revealing the adorable name he and Jess chose for their little bundle of joy.
“It’s a girl 💖 Margot Grace McMillan,” he announced alongside a family photo with Jess and baby Margot.
“This is a love I never even knew existed. I’m overwhelmed & still processing it all right now. My girls. Wow.”

“@rebeccajames_stylist was (& is) a warrior. I will never forget what she endured over the past 9 months, & particularly the past few days for our little family. Unbelievable strength. What a woman 🙌🏼 There will be a separate post about that soon,” Sam continued.
“In the meantime I just want to say a heartfelt thanks to @drmorris_sydneymotherandbaby (the rock star of the delivery ward) & team. I’m the happiest man on the planet right now 🌎 if anyone needs me, my schedule for the next little while will be, looking in awe at Bec, looking in awe at Margot, crying & repeat 🤷🏽♂️ I’m a Dad! #MacDaddy”
The baby’s arrival was no major surprise as the couple said during their public announcement of their first child on Instagram back in April, that she would be born sometime in September.
“Wowsers! Mini Mac coming soon & Bec just can’t wipe the joy off her face,” Sam captioned his post.
She couldn’t wipe the shock off her face!

According to 7News, the couple began dating after being introduced by a mutual friend in 2020, and soon after they bought their first home together.
The TV weatherman revealed he was reluctant to know the baby’s gender, but Sam said that Rebecca was the opposite.
“Ah look, I don’t want to know Kochie, as long as baby’s happy and healthy, that’s all that matters to me,” Sam revealed to the breakfast show’s co-host David ‘Kochie’ Koch.
“Bec wants to know. She’s ‘the planner’.”
“So I don’t think I’m going to win that argument, but we’ll see, we’ll see.”
During Rebecca’s pregnancy, Sam confessed his favourite part of the experience was the check-up scans and seeing the baby move.
But now that his beautiful girlfriend has given birth to Margot, we bet Sam can’t keep his eyes off her.
