Sunrise weatherman Sam Mac has confessed his favourite aspect of being a father to his newborn Margot Grace McMillan, but his answer is not what you may think.
During an Instagram question and answer, Sam was asked by a follower what was the “best thing about being a dad?”
“That’s a big question,” he said.
“Look there’s a million things, but personally – sorry [I’m] emotional when I talk about this…
“It’s the increase in your social media numbers.”
It wasn’t the answer any follower was expecting. But it comes as no surprise that Sam’s Instagram following has boosted since Margot’s birth given the number of adorable videos and photos he has shared.
Including celebrating one month with Margot where he got very candid about the “never ending supply of ‘surprises’ shooting out of [her] mouth or bottom, sometimes both at the same time.”
Plus, Sam’s fan-base love to see little Margot grow! And so too does vet Dr Chris Brown or more commonly known as ‘Uncle Chris’ to the family.
In a recent video uploaded to Instagram, Sam shared Chris and Margot meeting for the first time. Although the first few minutes were smooth sailing, Margot’s curiosity towards her new uncle quickly turned into something else.
“Margot finally meets Uncle Chris & proceeds to give him the complete parenting experience in 5 mins. How did he go?” Sam wrote.
Chris quickly regretted saying parenting was “pretty easy guys”, but Sam however loved watching someone else suffer his daughter’s wrath.
“What do you think about parenting?” Sam asked. “Give them every bit of your attention.”
“It’s all under control guys,” Chris sad while Margit’s discontent wailed in the background.
Chris commented on the Instagram video, writing: “I’ve always felt that parenting should be like your weather crosses. Short, sharp and imprecise.”
Although Chris has no children of his own – and we aren’t sure how his most recent experience has swayed him – we are still hoping for a baby announcement with his beautiful girlfriend Brooke Meredith!
