The Daily Telegraph revealed that the Bachelorette couple were going to build a brand new home on a plot of land near Bowral.
Sadly, the 27-year-old will no longer be involved, pulling out of the plans in light of her recent break up with the construction manager.
In fact Sasha, 32, mused just last year how much he’d like for his then partner to relocate to his home town.
“Having grown up in the Southern Highlands and even going to high school there I’m pretty attached to the area,” he said to the Daily Telegraph at the time.
It has been just two weeks since Sam and Sasha announced their split.
“After 18 months together, Sam Frost and Sasha Mielczarek have come to a mutual decision to end their relationship,” their manager confirmed in a statement.
“It is important to stress that there is no bitterness or scandal, they have just come to the realisation that the best way forward is to separate. They wholeheartedly respect and cherish the friendship they have for one another which will continue moving forward.
“They wish to thank everyone for their love and support over the past 18 months,” she added.
Sam and Sasha both wanted to build a future together.
Just a week later it was announced that the bubbly blonde and her co-host Rove McManus’ 2DayFM breakfast show had been canned and bumped to the evening spot.
Despite the tough start to the new year, Sam has held onto her trademark humour.
The reality star took to Instagram to share her funny insight on her new year.
“I’m not even ashamed to say, that the primary use of my data is spent scrolling through endless dog memes • and it’s safe to assume which one I am in this little scenario,” Sam captioned a photo of a hilarious dog meme.
The following day she backed it up with yet another Instagram post.
This time she shared a snap with one of her furry pals, penning this humourous note, “Everyone act surprised in ten years time when they do one of those ‘Where are they now?’ articles and I end up being a weirdo that marries their dog, living in a bunker with an aluminium foil hat paranoid the world is going to end.”
Fans quickly voiced their support for the 27-year-old, praising her upbeat attitude.

While another remarked, “All the dudes out there wishing they were the dog in the photo!”
