The actor has revealed the moment he first knew that wife Blake Lively was “the one” for him in an interview with GQ Magazine.

“Probably after the sex!” he joked. Then he spilled on the real story.

“No, we were hanging out at this little restaurant in Tribeca that’s open really late, and this song came on and I was just like, ‘Want to dance?’

“No one was in there, so it was just totally empty. And it was just one of those moments where halfway through the dance, it was like, ‘Oh, I think I just crossed a line.'”

Ryan says Deadpool was very taxing on his nerves.

Ryan, who had portrayed the comic anti-hero in a previous film to much media and fan criticism, says the pressure on him to get it right this time was immense.

The actor very vocally opposed the way Deadpool had been written in X-Men Origins: Wolverine and had spent 11 years campaigning to do the character justice in a new film.

And it was that pressure that was crushing, with the father of two saying it was extremely “hard” on his “nervous system”.

He feels “vindicated” after the film’s huge success.

“I went to see a doctor because I felt like I was suffering from a neurological problem or something,” he revealed. “And every doctor said, ‘You have anxiety.’”

The 40-year-old actor says he was so stressed over ensuring the character was true to the comics, and not the sanitised version the studio originally wanted him to present.

And he says the movie’s huge success has come with a “certain vindication”.
