Just days after Woman’s Day revealed Channel 7 presenter Ryan Phelan has been secretly dating high profile escort Samantha X, the newsreader has confirmed his romance on social media.
On Tuesday evening, Ryan posted a sweet throwback snap with his partner during their recent escape to Positano in Italy.
In the pic, which is the first official social media photo of the couple, Ryan and Samantha X (aka Amanda Goff), cuddle up towards each other as they’re framed by the stunning backdrop of the coastal town.
Ryan, who reads the news on The Morning Show and The Daily Edition, simply captioned the post with a heart emoji.
The picture was inundated with well-wishes, including Ninja Warrior host Ben Fordham, who wrote: “Happy for you both. Good luck and good on youz.”
Samantha X was also quick to follow suit, sharing a sweet shot with her man in a vineyard while clarifying Ryan isn’t the controlling partner she writes about in her book, dubbed Mr Big.
“It’s all out now. Meet my love, Ryan @ryanphelan_tv (He is NOT Mr Big from my book!) ❤️,” she explained.
Ryan spoke to The Sydney Morning Herald‘s PS column about their romance, explaining: “We met when Amanda came in to promote her second book, Back On Top, and I asked her out on a lunch date.”
“We have pretty much spent every day together since, I fell in love with Amanda, no one else, and that is who she is to me, Amanda, an outstanding mother and an outstanding woman.”
“If anything she has achieved a lot in her career and given an industry a voice it didn’t have before,” he added.
On Monday, we revealed sex worker Samantha X had given up her job to start a “brand-new life” with the TV star.
Last month the former beauty editor announced she was retiring from sex work and posted a photo of her last ever client, a 76-year-old man with Parkinson’s disease – before leaving for Europe with 42-year-old Ryan.
“After six wonderful years as Samantha, I am hanging up my Louboutins to move onto a brand new life…” she told her thousands of social media followers.

Samantha has spent the past few weeks teasing her followers about the identity of the man who convinced her to give up the sex trade, posting clues from all over Greece and Italy.
Ryan – the 2005 Cleo Bachelor Of The Year winner and father to two adult children – separated from his second wife of just two years earlier this year, with colleagues at Seven revealing he was reluctant to discuss details of the split or his new girlfriend.
“We had a feeling he was seeing someone but he’s been very coy about it,” one friend confirmed.
Going public: The pair are looking forward to starting their life together out in the open.
