The Aussie actor had a meltdown at Sydney Domestic airport after he missed his flight to Melbourne, where he was on his way to celebrate new girlfriend Imogen Bailey’s birthday.
The smitten 26-year-old, who was first linked to Imogen back in March after they were spotted looking cosy at the ASTRA awards, created a scene when he arrived at the check-in desk at Mascot airport and was informed he had missed his flight.
Eye witnesses told The Daily Telegraph’s Sydney Confidential that Ryan lost his cool.
According to witnesses, The Water Diviner actor was heard shouting and complaining about needing to be in Melbourne to celebrate his girlfriend’s birthday.
“He was shouting at everybody and finally, after he’d raised hell for a few minutes, stomped off complaining he was missing his girlfriend’s birthday celebrations,” one onlooker recalled.
Ryan was happy to provide a comment through his agent at Catherine Poulton Management.
“I’ve supported the mighty Richmond Tigers for most of my life and for the first time I’m thinking about switching teams!”
Like Ryan’s comment, after a little digging we discovered his rush to make Imogen’s birthday also didn’t add up.
According to the model and animal activist’s biography, she will celebrate her 38th birthday on July 7th, while Ryan celebrated turning 26 back in January.
