Russell Crowe and his wife of nine years Danielle Spencer have separated.
The Sydney Morning Herald reports the 48-year-old Oscar winner and singer Danielle, 43, have “amicably” split and now their concern is for the wellbeing of their young sons Charles, 8, and Tennyson, 6.
Although neither has spoken publicly, it has been reported that Russell’s busy work schedule may have contributed to the marriage breakdown.
Russell has been away from his family for most of the year, working back to back on projects including The Man With The Iron Fist, Les Miserables, Broken City, Man Of Steel, and Noah.
