The daughter of mega-stars Demi Moore and Bruce Willis reflected about her mum’s marriage to Ashton Kutcher, speaking candidly on US radio program The Howard Stern Show.
Despite her mother being 15 years her ex-husband’s senior, The House Bunny star had no hard feelings.
“I was kind of impressed, I was like ‘Yeah girl, get it,’” she recalled of when her mum brought her new beau home for the first time.
The Dancing with the Stars contestant said “It was definitely weird for a minute”, considering she had a crush on the Hollywood heartthrob.
Adding, “I have to commend him, he was a really great stepfather. The perspective switched quickly.”
The rising star admitted, like most teenage girls, she had posters of the actor on her bedroom wall.
“That’s when you open up your Teen Beat, you take him down and put somebody else up. I feel like I told my sister that at some point ‘Gotta cross him off the list.’” she quipped.
The couple officially divorced in 2013, Ashton Kutcher got engaged to former flame Mila Kunis and they now have a child together.
Regardless of her parent’s public divorce and the high profile relationships that followed, Rumer has nothing but praise for her high-profile parents, Demi and Bruce.
“It’s something that I commend them for so much. They made such a huge effort that we never had to split up birthdays or vacations. We literally would all go together. They had this weird thing where they literally just became friends.” She told radio host, Howard.
As for having Hollywood heavy-weights for parents, the 26-year-old said it’s just something you get used to, but there’s still something that makes her uncomfortable.
“No one wants to hear their parents engage in any sort of sexual things so having it on film was a little awkward,” she revealed.
