Rugby league’s Nate Myles cheers on his courageous wife, actress Tessa James on her Love Child debut

Nate Myles has been with his wife, Tessa James, every step of the way during her battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma and now he’s cheering proudly as she makes her on-screen return on Nine's Love Child.

On Tuesday evening, the loving 29-year-old couldn’t contain his excitement and took to Instagram ahead of the show’s screening, writing: “Very very excited to watch the boss @tessacharis tonight very proud of you”.

Nate has been a rock for the 24-year-old, who revealed she was diagnosed with the illness back in September, and just last month the Gold Coast Titans showed off how much he loved his other halg on her birthday.

“Happy Birthday to 1 amazing woman @tessacharis.”

“Thank you for living life like Puff Daddy. #wontstop #cantstop eh ah eh ah Love you #dreamteam,” he wrote via Instagram.

Tessa recently wrapped up five months of chemotherapy to fight the deadly disease. Despite filming the hit show before being diagnosed, the actress couldn’t be happier about being back in the world of acting!

“I was really excited to be a part of such a great show, we did a few screen tests and then went from there,” the starlet explained to Woman’s Day about landing the gig.

In the Kings Cross-based drama, Tessa portrays troubled a troubled pregnant woman called Gail.

And she didn’t have to look too far for inspiration thanks to her time on the recent Logie Hall of Fame inductee, Home and Away, where her character Nicole Franklin also falls pregnant.

With Tessa back on the road to recovery, we can’t wait to see what the talented actress will do next.
