Actress and comedian, Rosie O’Donnell has taken to Twitter share her relief after police found her daughter, 17-year-old Chelsea.
“Chelsea has been found and is safe in police custody,” she wrote.
“Thank u (sic) all for the help and light #missingchildren.”
Chelsea (pictured above right) was reported missing on Sunday August 16.
Writing on her website, Rosie said New York police authorities have been looking for Chelsea in the Rockland County area.
“She was last seen Tuesday, August 11. She was wearing a black sweatshirt hoodie, dark ripped blue jeans, women’s grey converse sneakers and a black backpack,” she wrote.
“Chelsea has a large tattoo on her right side of a dream catcher with the word ‘Breathe.’ She left home with her 6 month old therapy dog named Bear,” the website said.
“The dog is a 9 lbs brown and black terrier. Chelsea stopped taking her medicine and is in need of medical attention.”
Rosie also called for help from her 837 thousand Twitter followers. Posting the below note over night:

“Don’t listen to the mean and cruel people out there. Why do people have to be so very Cruel? If you have nothing nice or Positive to post then don’t leave nasty hurtful comments to a family going through such a scary terrible time in their Lives! May God Bless your Family ! From one caring mother to Another!”
