The 62-year-old chatted to the Daily Beast while attending the Tribeca Film Festival explaining that her “vision is closing in.”
Speaking about her medical condition, the Roseanne star explained: “I have macular degeneration and glaucoma. I just try and enjoy vision as much as possible, you know? Living it up. My dad had it, too.”
Before adding she’ll miss reading but has thought about hiring someone to “read for me and read to me.”
The actress went on to voice her thoughts on wanting to legalise marijuana, which she uses to alleviate her pain.
“[Marijuana is] good for me for that because I have pressure in my eyes. [Marijuana is a] good medicine for a lot of things,”she said.
“It’s expansive. It opens your mind. You’re like…Wow, you’re in awe. You look up into the stars. It makes you wonder. It doesn’t close that down.”
