The new Princess Charlotte will now be able to count a popstar among her relations as it was revealed that Ronan Keating’s wife-to-be, Storm Uechtritz, is in fact a distant relative of the Cambridge family.
Ronan’s Aussie TV producer and model fiancée Storm, 34, is in fact connected to Prince William via Frederick Louis of Wales, the son of George II.
This makes the stunning blonde the seventh cousin of the current Duke of Cambridge, while his children, George and Charlotte, are her seventh cousins, once removed.
Frederick’s son went on to become King George III, while his youngest daughter Caroline Matilda married into the Danish royal family – another Aussie connection! To our own beloved Princess Mary.
“I’m proud to be welcomed into such an amazing family with such an incredible heritage,” Ronan told the MailOnline.
“There is so much more to Storm than meets the eye.”
While Storm’s lineage may be grand, her contemporaries seem rather more down to earth, as her family are based on a cattle station in Queensland.
Ronan comes from humble beginnings too – growing up in a working class Irish catholic household, before shooting to fame thanks to heart-throb supergroup Boyzone.
The pair, who first met on the set of the Australian X-Factor announced their engagement last month after the pair had been dating for two years.
While they have not yet announced their wedding plans, we’d love to see some royal guests like William and Kate in attendance please!
