Where Kyle Sandilands once reigned supreme, he has now been dethroned.
Yes, that’s right. He has indeed had a long reign, but according to the 2015 Encore survey, Kyle Sandilands is no longer the most disliked person in Australia.
After surveying over 3,000 people on who their most disliked and liked person in Australia was, Encore revealed that King Kyle has been kicked off the top of the list – rightfully so – by disgraced TV personality, Rolf Harris, with Prime Minister Tony Abbott (hang on – isn’t politics a popularity contest?) coming in second.
Kyle Sandilands slots in at third (hey, we said he was dethroned, not that people liked him), with Tony’s politics pals, Joe Hockey, Clive Palmer and Pauline Hanson coming in at 4th, 5th and 6th.
Ben Cousins and Tom Waterhouse came in 7th and 8th in the sporting community, whereas celebrity personalities Brynne Edelsten and Lara Bingle brought up the rear, at 9th and 10th.
Everybody’s favourite Aussie hunk, Hugh Jackman, of shirtless and well-muscled fame came in at number 1 in the Most Liked list, with two-time Oscar winner, Cate Blanchett in second place. Fellow actors Eric Bana and Olivia Newton John also added to the list, whilst comedians (and comediennes) Anh Do, Amanda Keller and Hamish Blake (that’s right – no Andy) sat at 5th, 7th and 8th. The rest of our favourite Aussie actors, Nicole Kidman, Simon Baker, and Rebecca Gibney were also given a mention.
3rd Most Disliked: Kyle Sandilands Well, we said he was dethroned, he didn’t say people liked him again. Kyle Sandilands comes in at 3rd position.
Number 1 Most Disliked: Rolf Harris Rolf Harris took the Most Disliked crown off of Kyle Sandiland’s hands this year. Probably has something to do with those convictions earlier.
2nd Most Disliked: Tony Abbott Our fearless leader, Tony Abbott, didn’t fare too well in the polls – he came in as the second most disliked person in Australia.
4th Most Disliked: Joe Hockey Tony Abbott’s Liberal pal, Joe Hockey, didn’t seem to rate too highly with the masses, either.
5th Most Disliked: Clive Palmer We’re not sure if it’s the arrogance or the greediness, but the Clive Palmer United leader isn’t gaining any friends in this poll.
6th Most Disliked Please explain? It seems Pauline Hanson’s recent bid for revival was unsuccessful.
7th Most Disliked: Ben Cousins It turns out falling from grace and abusing drugs isn’t the way into the people’s hearts, Ben.
8th Most Disliked: Tom Waterhouse Oh, don’t look so confused, Tom. You know what you did.
9th Most Disliked: Brynne Edelsten It appears Brynne Edelsten’s flashy ways aren’t working anymore.
