In light of his recent hospitalisation, Rob Kardashian, 29, has made the drastic decision to stop filming his hit reality TV show Rob & Chyna.
According to reports, the show – which tracks the turbulent lifestyle of Rob, his girlfriend Blac Chyna, 28, and their newborn daughter, Dream – has placed undue stress on the star which may have contributed to his recent hospital stay.
“He doesn’t want to do the show any more, he just wants to live his life with Chyna and Dream and not have to worry about doing a TV show,” a source told HollywoodLife.
“He is stressed and not out of the woods with all his issues and he would rather have them not broadcast to the world.”
Rob was rushed to the emergency room of a Hidden Hills, California hospital on Wednesday night before being released the following day.
According to TMZ, Rob went into “medical distress” before checking himself into the facility.
Rob’s girlfriend Blac Chyna and mother Kris Jenner, 61, were seen arriving at the hospital shortly after the incident occurred. Blac and Rob are currently living apart which explains why she wasn’t by his side at the time of admittance.
Speaking with PEOPLE, an insider has revealed that Rob “wasn’t feeling well” and “recognized that his symptoms were diabetes-related.”
It is also believed that the stress from his bumpy relationship with model and entrepreneur girlfriend Blac, has caused him to eat excessively, gain weight and subsequently lose control over his diabetes.
“Rob has made some changes to his lifestyle, but all the latest drama with [Blac] Chyna has made him depressed,” the source said before adding, “he has been on a terrible diet.”
The insider adds that Rob “hasn’t been taking care of himself, and that’s why he’s now sick again.”
According to TMZ Rob Kardashian has since checked out of hospital following his diabetes scare.
The reality TV star was formally diagnosed with type 2 diabetes exactly one year ago in December 2015 when he was once again hospitalised.
The news of Rob’s ill health comes shortly after Rob publicly vowed to “get better” for his newborn daughter.
On December 20, the reality TV star posted a picture on Instagram of his daughter, Dream, taking a bath.
“I am going to get better for you Dream,” he promised in the caption. “You are my life and gave me a new start on being a better me. Love you.”
According to E! News, the bundle of joy weighed 7 pounds and 5 ounces.
“She is gorgeous and has tons of hair!” a source revealed to the publication.
The website also reports the couple have gone with an aspirational name for their daughter, calling her Dream Renee Kardashian.
The name ‘Renee’ is a special nod to Blac, whose real name is Angela Renée White.
