“He is very against therapy and any kind of rehab,” a production source on Keeping up with the Kardashians told People magazine.
“But his family will continue to push for him to get help until he does.”
This is the second time an alleged family source has said that Rob is depressed since he posted a rather controversial Instagram snap earlier this week.
With the news that the Kardashians are trying to push him into rehab though it seems that the family has put him under extra pressure.
“He’s sad, he’s bitter, he’s single. He is very depressed and has been [for a while],” another source told People.
“It’s really hard for him that his sisters are so public and he looks like the shut-in,” the source said.
Rob earlier shared a photo of Rosamund Pike’s villainous Gone Girl character, Amy Dunne, soaked in blood, which he captioned: “This is my sister kim, the b**** from Gone Girl”.
A lot of Rob’s alleged depression ostensibly centres around his noted weight gain.
“The attitude has always been that when Rob gets his act together, starts working out and loses weight, everything will be good and he will be happy,” the production source says.
“But behind the weight gain is this very unhealthy mental state that he keeps struggling with.”
Rob has shunned the limelight that the rest of his family seek so desperately for some time now, even snubbing his sister Kim’s wedding in Italy to Kanye West when he abruptly left and returned to LA instead of attending.
Kim said that she and Rob never fought about it but that he simply sent her an email saying that he wouldn’t be attending.
After the wedding debacle, Kris Jenner said that her sock designer son is “working on himself” and “he’s going to be okay.”
“Rob is living in L.A. right now, he is doing well finding out what makes him tick,” the matriarch told E News!.
“He is struggling with some stuff but my job is to be there for him and love him as hard as I can. Everyone goes through stuff and we get through each other’s adversity one year at a time,” she added.
Hmm, we hope everything is ok with Rob and that he gets all the support he needs!
