While Kate Ritchie’s absence was certainly felt at Nova FM as she recovered from COVID-19 last week, Ricki-Lee Coulter, 36, was busy keeping the 43-year-old’s seat warm.
And the Aussie Idol alum couldn’t have been a better choice to step in.
“Ricki got along with Tim [Blackwell] and Joel [Creasey] so well, and everyone at the network thought they had amazing chemistry as a trio,” a well- placed insider tells Woman’s Day.
“The response they got from colleagues and listeners was so positive and Nova would be delighted to invite her back in a full-time capacity – they just need to find her a role!”
Ricki-Lee has also been wowing our screens during her stint on Dancing With The Stars: All-Stars.
She and her dance partner Jarryd Byrne made it into the grand finale, and they performed a Dirty Dancing-like freestyle routine.
She clearly had a blast on the program, and after one successful performance, she posted a slew of pictures from the night and gushed about the experience.
“I felt like an ACTUAL dancer tonight 💜 Rumba is SO HARD, but we worked our asses off, and I was so proud of that performance xxx,” she said.
There is no doubt she’s a hard worker, and with her husband slash manager Richard Harrison on her side, the sky is the limit.
Richard took over as her manager despite having no experience, but Ricki-Lee told Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O why he was perfect for the job.
“He could see things from an outsider’s perspective that I couldn’t. I was trapped in it. He lifted the cover for me.”
“He got me signed and writing with all my dream songwriters. All the things that should have been done at the start of my career.”
The couple tied the knot at Paris’ Château Bouffémont in August 2015 and the bride wore a stunning Joanna Johnson gown.
The newlyweds were the last ones to leave the festivities at 5am.
“I wish we could have frozen time to stay in that moment,” Ricki told New Idea.
“It was magical, absolutely a dream come true, the greatest day of my life.”
