In recent years, the cover of The Australian Women’s Weekly has been the territory of beautiful and glamorous celebrities – but in the 1970s puppies, kittens, Kermit the Frog and even a bizarre-looking robot were cover stars.
The National Library of Australia recently digitised the first 50 years of The Weekly, and entire issues from 1933 to 1982 are now available online
We’ve gone through this amazing resource and pulled some of our favourite covers to show how we’ve changed over the years.
