In recent years, the cover of The Australian Women’s Weekly has been the territory of beautiful and glamorous celebrities – but in the 1970s puppies, kittens, Kermit the Frog and even a bizarre-looking robot were cover stars.
The National Library of Australia recently digitised the first 50 years of The Weekly, and entire issues from 1933 to 1982 are now available online
