Rebel Wilson has tweeted a picture of a woman named Elizabeth Wilson, labelling her “total scum.”
In the tweet, she wrote, “If your name is Elizabeth Wilson and you work for ACP Magazines, just know that you are a disgrace for harassing my sweet, sick grandma.”
NOTE: The Weekly have pixelated the woman’s face.
However, it’s a case of mistaken identity.
“Elizabeth is an upstanding journalist with 25 years’ experience, held in high esteem by colleagues and industry,” a spokesperson from Bauer Media told The Weekly Online.
“She is senior features editor of Australian House & Garden, a position she has held for six and a half years, and former editor of Country Style magazine.”
“This is a highly distressing case of mistaken identity and she has the company’s full support. Bauer are seeking advice about the legal position.”
Rebel has since taken down the photo, however the tweets still remain.
