Everyone wants a Golden Globe but nobody wants a Golden Raspberry, and who can blame them?
The Raspberrys, or Razzies, celebrate not the best but the worst in film. They were founded by a publicist, John J.B.Wilson, in the 1980s, and are traditionally announced just ahead of the Oscars.
More than 600 journalists, film critics and fans vote on the awards.
Hardly any of the actors ever turn up to collect their statue, but Halle Berry did, and so did Sandra Bullock.
This year’s nominations, announced yesterday, include both lead actors – Jamie Dornan and Dakota Fanning from Fifty Shades of Grey.
Pretty much everyone who saw the duo during promotion for the film agreed that they could not stand each other.
The film itself was nominated for Worst Film , as was Paul Blart Mall Cop 2, which has an average rating of 2.6 out of 10 on the Rotten Tomatoes website, which describes Paul Blart’s performance as ‘sweaty and unfunny.’
