Bombshell Nicola Robinson, 38, has a circle tattoo on the left foot that is proof her heart already belongs to another – lookalike blonde New Zealand socialite and reality TV star Sally Ridge, 45, who has a matching ‘marriage’ tattoo.
“Nicky and Sally have matching tattoos on their toes that signify their circle of everlasting love and devotion,” an insider tells Woman’s Day. “They tell everyone they are married.”
This latest revelation is just one of the more tame skeletons in Nicola’s closet, with the former model once considered one of the “wildest women in New Zealand”.
During an infamous TV interview in 2007, Nicola revealed she’d undergone three breast augmentations, used hard drugs, had threesomes and even forgot to wear undies at the races. She was also once filmed having her nipple pierced.
She turned her back on that lifestyle long ago, but has never abandoned her wife, whom she met in 2000 when their former husbands introduced them.
“I adore her. She is the most amazing, inspiring woman, with so much mana,” Nicola told New Zealand Woman’s Day in 2011. “Our friendship is one that constantly grows. Our love for one another is unconditional.”
In 2003, Nicola – the former swimsuit model known as Nicky Watson – tested the friendship by beginning a love affair with Sally’s ex-husband, rugby player Matthew Ridge.
While that relationship only lasted two years, the tattooed wives’ spiritual connection continued to grow stronger.
Despite being divided by the Tasman sea, the pair continue to flirt with each other over social media, with Nicola – also known as @nutritionmermaid – recently making a comment on Sally’s Instagram page when she posted a photo of her feet, see below!
The unconventional relationship has reportedly also caused Pete to take a step back.
“Pete likes to be the alpha male, and he doesn’t like it when his position as top dog is threatened – especially by a woman,” claims an insider.
“I care for her so deeply that I know she will always be part of my life. That’s a true friend,” explains Sally, who starred in her own Kardashian-style reality show in New Zealand in 2012 called The Ridges.
“Nothing will ever, ever come between Nicky and me,” Sally claims. “No matter what happens.”
