In a statement, publicist Stuart Bell said McCartney has been ordered to take a few days rest but would make a full recovery and has been “extremely moved by all the messages and well wishes” from fans.
The 71-year-old singer postponed shows in Tokyo and Seoul since falling ill last week, with his Out There world tour scheduled to resume in the United States next month.
McCartney posted a message to fans last week on his Facebook page.
“Thank you so much for your kind messages of support. I’m so very touched,” he said.
“I’m so disappointed and sorry to be letting my fans down.”
One of two surviving members of The Beatles, McCartney pursued a celebrated solo career following the band’s breakup and has staged concerts since the late 1980’s.
