A new report claims that Paris Jackson is “deeply concerned” about the living situation of her younger brother.
Michael, Jnr – widely referred to as ‘Blanket’ – is believed to be living on his own, without full-time adult supervision or the guardians he was assigned following his father’s death in 2009, TMZ reports.
Instead, he has been “living alone” in his grandmother Katherine Jackson’s sprawling home in Calabasas, California.
Katherine, a guardian for the 15-year-old, has been absent since flying to London in January to testify against her nephew in an elder abuse case. She has since returned to Los Angeles but has chosen to stay with her daughter, Rebbie Jackson, and has reportedly failed to communicate with Blanket.
Multiple sources tell the publication that Uncle T.J. Jackson — a co-guardian for Michael’s kids — and his wife share supervisory duties, but Paris isn’t satisfied with the living arrangement.
This begs the question… Will Paris become the youngsters guardian?
What’s more, Paris claims that her Aunt Rebbie and Uncle Randy — and a handful of other unnamed family members — are intentionally isolating her grandmother in an attempt to “control the matriarch” for financial gain.
Despite the tumultuous circumstances, insiders tell TMZ that Blanket is excelling academically and socially. In fact, reports suggest the once shy and introverted teenager is now engaged heavily in social activities.
Paris and her siblings largely managed to stayed out of view following their father’s untimely passing. But in the eight years since the King of Pop’s death, they have each slowly re entered the public sphere.
Paris, in particular, has already found blazing success in the limelight.
In January, she landed a coveted campaign for fashion-giant Chanel and the 19-year-old will soon make her acting debut in the upcoming musical-drama series called Star.
Paris’ older brother, Prince Michael Jackson, recently compared his sister to his late father.
“Basically, as a person, she is who my dad is,” he told Rolling Stone.
“The only thing that’s different would be her age and her gender.”
Prince added to the comparison, “in all of her strengths, and almost all of her weaknesses as well. She’s very passionate. She is very emotional to the point where she can let emotion cloud her judgment.”
We wish the Jackson Family all the very best during this unsteady time.
