Despite growing up with pretty much the worldโs biggest silver spoon in her mouth, Paris Hilton has bizarrely criticised parents in Hollywood for โspoiling their kids.โ Erm, what the?
โWe werenโt spoilt,โ she tells ES magazine of her and her siblings Nicky, Baron and Conradโs childhood. โWe always had that work ethic, instilled in my father by his father, and passed on for generations in my family.โ
While that might be the way Paris remembers it, the socialite, 36 โ whoโs worth $138 million โ still lived a more pampered life than most ever will.
Born the great-granddaughter of hotel mogul Conrad Hilton โ the founder of the luxe Hilton Hotels chain โ one of Parisโ first childhood homes was a suite in the uber-posh Waldorf-Astoria hotel in New York City.
She attended โ and got expelled โ from some of the most expensive schools in America and spent her school holidays holidaying in Manhattan, Beverly Hills and The Hamptons.
And while Paris insists her parents Rick and Kathy made her and her brothers and sister do their share of chores, we find it hard to believe she was forced to do everyday tasks like she did when she starred with her former bestie Nicole Richie in their reality show The Simple Life.

Meanwhile, Paris also criticised parents who push their kids into the limelight and take advantage of them.
โYou know, like actressesโ mums, who kind of live off their kid, whoโs been working since they were like a month old. And thatโs a big percentage of Hollywood,โ she sniped. โI saw a lot of kids growing up in families who werenโt there for them, and just spoiled them because they felt guilty.โ
