If Leonardo DiCaprio doesn’t win an Oscar this year, he still won’t go home empty-handed. Instead, he’ll leave with a gift bag worth a record $232,000 (AU$328,000).
Speaking in a press release, Distinctive Assets, the company in charge of putting the bags together for the nominees, said the bags are “a blend of fabulous, fun and functional items meant to thrill and pamper those who may have everything money can buy but still savour the simple joy of a gift.”
So, what’s going to “thrill and pamper” Hollywood’s finest actors and actresses?
In terms of overseas travel, there’s a 10-day trip to Israel – first class, of course – for $78,000, and a 15-day walking tour of Japan for two at $76,000.
For fitness, there’s three private training sessions of $1,980 with Jay Cardiello, “celebrity wellness expert” and star of ABC show My Diet Is Better Than Yours. There’s also a Fit Club TV ‘Ultimate Fitness Package’ in a private villa for $8,840, and a laser procedure for skin-tightening worth $7,823.
Other random items include $425 of personalised M&Ms, and a roll of luxury toilet paper by Joseph’s Toiletries, worth $389.
There’s also $45,000-worth of unlimited Audi A4 rentals, and a Vampire Breast Lift for $2,688. Yes, you read that last bit correctly. The Vampire Breast Lift is a process aimed to achieve rounder cleavage where blood is taken from the arm and inserted back into the breasts.
Oh, Hollywood.
