Many celebrity parents from David Beckham to Angelina Jolie have tattoos to honour their beloved children, so when Orlando Bloom debuted one to his nine-year-old son Flynn, our hearts melted.
The 43-year-old dad-of-one showed off his fresh new ink on Instagram, but in doing so made an awkward error calling his son Frynn rather than Flynn.
But before you judge too harshly, rather than letters, Flynn’s name is inked on in morse code on his forearm, along with his birth date.
Seeing as the Morse code for ‘R’ is dot dash dot, and the one for ‘L’ is dot dash dot dot, we guess it’s an easy mistake to make but that didn’t stop his fans letting him know in the Instagram comments.
“But it’s misspelled…. it spells “FRYNN” right now. You’re missing a dot,” one fan commented.
Another questioned, “Doesn’t L have two dots after the dash?”
But tattoo artist Balazs Bercsenyi quickly cleared it up sharing the same photo and captioning it: “A beautiful reminder for @orlandobloom of his son, and yes, a dot is missing, we know, it will be fixed.”
Orlando shares Flynn with ex-wife and former supermodel, Miranda Kerr and the two have spoken about how they co-parent so well.
“With Miranda, there was a sense that I don’t want my son to go back through the internet where people have made up lies [about us],” Orlando told ELLE UK. “Miranda and I have a remarkable relationship.”
The Pirates of the Caribbean star is now engaged to singer Katy Perry, and when she appeared in a photo with Miranda on her Instagram account, it was clear to see there was no bad blood.

“We really do get along so well,” Miranda revealed on The Morning Show in 2019. “We all have Flynn’s best interests at heart, in the interests of our family as a whole.
“We just worked together to work it out … I’m very happy. It may not have worked out that way, but I’m really happy and feel very blessed that it has.”
