Oprah Winfrey has paid homage to an Australian made and Australian designed product called ”Patience Pebbles,” recommending them to her legions of devoted fans in her quarterly list of favourite items.
Designed by Gold Coast mum Jacqueline Yeats, the pebbles are at their core simple enough, with an overarching message to ”be mindful.”
Composed as small wooden discs that come in either a rose or sea foam colour, the pebbles can be used to stack and build up, encouraging children to build, create and most importantly, use their imagination.
The brand, Mindful & Co kids, designed the pebbles to ”foster creativity, imagination and free play,” while also helping build ”resilience, patience and independence,” by teaching cause and effect (we presume this relates to the pebbles falling down).
With a five star rating, it’s no wonder that Oprah has fallen in love with the product, and with their sustainable nature, and aesthetically pleasing colour palette, we must admit we’ve fallen a little in love with them too.
Gushing over the pebbles, Oprah revealed that there was much to love.
”Kids and grown ups alike will love these Patience Pebbles,” Oprah said.
”Carved from wood and painted prettily, they help you pause, focus and engage by stacking them.”
Oprah isn’t the only fan of the ”Patience Pebbles” either, online the reviews are glowing (despite the steep $54.95 price point).
‘We’ve got two under two, and these have been an absolute lifesaver – they keep the big one entertained for ages while we tend to the little one!’ one mum wrote.
‘These patience pebbles are just perfect for quiet reflection time as well as fine motor development and just plain fun,’ another added.
A third wrote: ‘The quality of the products is beyond what I expected. Mindful & Co Kids have created their products with so much attention to detail, they are just gorgeous. I will definitely be making more purchases from this beautiful store’.
This isn’t the first time Oprah has featured a Mindful & Co kids product in her list of favourites, also selecting an ABCs of Mindfulness book with hand drawn illustrations and poems, and ‘affirmation’ colouring pencils.
