It’s been well over a year since Britney began her residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, so far without any cancellations, that is until the princess of pop took a painful fall during her Wednesday night show.
The 33-year-old was belting out her iconic tune (You Drive Me) Crazy when an awkward jump sent her straight to the floor.
In a clip uploaded to YouTube the mother-of-two can be seen rubbing her ankle in agony.
But that wasn’t enough to stop the dedicated performer, who reportedly earns $310,000 per show, from calling it a night!
Ever the trooper, Brit can be heard saying “Alrighty then, sorry about that.”
A dancer appears to ask her if she is OK, to which the singer simply responds “Yeah!”
Despite being visibly shaken, the Grammy Award-winner gets back on her feet to finish the last song of the show.
After the performance, Britney took to twitter thank her fans, “Thank you for all the sweet wishes!” She added: “Had a little scare on stage tonight with my ankle but I’m ok!”
This isn’t the first time Brit has dealt with an incident during her show, just last month a chunk of her blonde hair extensions fell out mid-song.
And who can forget when a heckler yelled a hurtful comment about her weight!
The 33-year-old didn’t miss out a beat, responding with, “f—–g a—–e” before finishing her song.
The mega star has cancelled her May 1-2 shows to recover.
