It’s not been an easy ride for Australia’s sweetheart Nikki Gogan.
Over the past two years, she has shared with Australia the heartbreak of a failed engagement, a shattered romance with former Bachelor Richie Strahan – and she was even reportedly catfished!
But all that heartache is over as NW is told that after going public with her hunky new man Bill Coe in June, the loved-up couple are making things official. Yep, our girl Nikki is engaged!
“Nikki’s never looked so happy,” says an insider. “She’s totally smitten with Bill, and he feels the same way. They’re perfect for one another.”
Nikki went public with her new romance six months ago, telling Insta followers, “This has been the best birthday ever and this man is a major part of that #taken.”
Friends believe that when Nikki went Insta-offish with the romance it proved that Bill was ‘The One’ – and after moving in together just months after, their relationship was headed in only one direction – straight down the aisle.
And the real estate agent’s friends couldn’t be happier for her! “All Nikki has ever wanted is to find her happy ever after,” says Alex Nation – who snagged Richie’s heart in that finale.
“Now she has. She’s a wonderful person and so deserving of this.”
Nikki, 31, who shares a fur baby called Daisy with architect Bill – admits she’s ready to settle down.
The Bachie babe is also keen to start a family, revealing she wants kids “sooner rather than later”, with “two kids in the next five years” part of her plan.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re married by this time next year,” an insider adds. “This is the fairytale.”
Indeed, Nikki can’t believe how things have turned out.
“Everybody deserves to be looked at the way he looks at me,” gushes the Perth beauty.
“I am loved by the most incredible people and I am so grateful. Believe me when I say that I am the luckiest girl in the entire world.”
Awww!
According to Bill’s LinkedIn page, he graduated with a Master of Architecture from Curtin University in 2008 and is currently working as a director at Slavin Architects in Fremantle, WA.
He also has a Bachelor degree in Applied Science and Architecture, which he received from Curtin University in 2006.
A guy with two degrees sounds like a man you can take home to mum!
After Richie dumped her on national TV, Nikki was in talks with Warner Brothers and Ten to be our 2017 Bachelorette but ultimately lost out to Sophie Monk.
“I think that with all my dealings with Warner Bros. or Channel Ten, they were always very respectful,” Nikki told news.com.au last year.
“They were always aware of my feelings and how I felt. At no point do I think anyone jumped the gun. They were always very respectful.”
