Nigella Lawson has found comfort in a fellow celebrity chef just one day after her ex-husband was photographed on a date with TV stylist Trinny Woodall.
The New York Post reports Nigella has “taken refuge” in Los Angeles’ Chateau Marmont hotel, where she is receiving “emotional support” from Anthony Bourdain.
Anthony is Nigella’s co-star on new US cooking show The Taste, and the pair have reportedly become very close, particularly since her ex Charles Saatchi was seen dining with Trinny at the same Mayfair restaurant he was photographed “choking” Nigella.
“She has been keeping herself very low-key,” a source told the New York Post.
“Anthony has really taken her under his wing and is looking after her.”
The source was keen to insist the friendship was “strictly platonic” as Anthony is very happily married to Ottavia, a mixed martial arts fighter and the mother of his six-year-old daughter Ariana.
Nigella and Charles divorced in July after he was photographed “choking” her during an argument. They had been married for 10 years.
