Following their family holiday to Australia, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have once again found themselves living separately.
Now that they are back in the US, Nicole is back to filming her latest flick The Family Fang in New York, where she was pictured looking less than thrilled last week.
Meanwhile, Keith has begun his gruelling American Idol schedule back in the pair’s home town of Nashville.
Keith clearly anticipated his wife’s disappointment at their ongoing separation and sent her, what our sources describe as the “biggest bunch of roses ever” to her trailer.
“They were absolutely beautiful. People kept coming up to look at them and tell Nic how much Keith must love her,” an insider tells Woman’s Day. “But she found it very hard to concentrate that day.”
While Keith was more than 1000kms away filming with his fellow judges, including J-LO – who Keith was caught up with in a flirting scandal last year – Nicole kept another man close to her nearby.
Her dad, Sydney psychologist Anthony, travelled to the US to support her.
“He’s a real rock in Nic’s life. He’s very protective of her,” says a family source.
And by the looks of things, it isn’t going to get any easier for Nicole and Keith in the coming months.
He is locked into US tour dates, plus studio time for the next few months, while she’ll jet to London in October to shoot Genius with her close friend Colin Firth, who’s described her as his “work wife”.
