Nicole’s family joy ‘I’ve got my babies back!’

Nicole Kidman has hinted she’s finally mending fences with her older children, Isabella and Connor Cruise as she talks babies at every turn.

Though Nicole and the children she adopted during her marriage with Tom Cruise haven’t been seen in public together for seven years, she insists they’re very much part of her new family with Keith Urban and their daughters Sunday, 6, and Faith, 3.

Discussing the possibility of having more kids in an interview with the UK’s ITV, Nic said she has “four children already” and her mum Janelle has begged her to stop adding to her brood.

It’s a promising sign for Nic, 47, who until recently rarely mentioned her older children.

The positive revelation comes at the end of a traumatic year for the Kidmans, with Nicole’s beloved father Antony suddenly passing away from a heart attack in September.

It was thought Nicole’s relationship with Bella, 21, an art student living in London, and Connor, 19, a DJ in the US, was under strain when they weren’t at their grandfather’s funeral.

“We’ve had some terrible things happen to us this year in our family so we’ll be holding tight to each other,” Nicole says as she discusses the upcoming holiday season. “That’s all you can do at Christmas. Hold tight to each other.”

Friends are relieved Nicole’s relationship with her eldest children, who were almost solely raised by their dad – and  entrenched in his Scientology religion – appears to be coming full circle.

In 2007, Nicole revealed that Connor and Bella they didn’t call her mum, referring to her as “Nicole, which I hate and tell them off for”.

But this year she’s taken a different tack, telling media they are “doing brilliantly” even though she still refuses to be drawn into debate on their religion.

“They’re generous, kind and hardworking,” she says. “They’re traits I love to see in my children.”

Speculation is also mounting she and Keith are trying for baby number five. Given her infertility issues in the past – she had a tragic miscarriage and an ectopic pregnancy – they may even consider a surrogate, like they used for Faith.

“I hope every month that I’m pregnant,” Nicole shared recently.
