British publication The Sun on Sunday claim the unlikely couple are “in the early stages of dating” and are continuing to spend increasing amounts of time together after the former Pussycat Dolls’ leading lady split with her F1 boyfriend, Lewis Hamilton, in February.
The report claims the Your Love hitmaker turned to Ed’s soulful music following her break-up to her on-off boyfriend of seven years, which eventually led to a romance.
“As far as he’s concerned they were in the early stages of dating and he’s been open about it with close friends and colleagues. It may not develop beyond those dates but they’re definitely tight,” a pal told the publication.
Before adding: “They’re extremely close. Nicole says he is the male version of her.”
So how do two superstars impress one another? With a trip to the pub of course! It’s claimed the Thinking Out Loud crooner recently took Nicole for a low-key meal at the local pub in his hometown of Framlingham, in Suffolk.
Just three weeks ago the pair were looking cosy backstage after Ed’s show in Wembley, London, with Nicole sharing a happy snap of the pair alongside the caption: “Okay okay you win @teddysphotos {Ed Sheeran], you’re taller.”
Meanwhile the Hawaiian-born beauty allegedly dedicated her performance of 2005 smash hit Don’t Cha to her new man during a gig in Hollywood at the end of July, telling the crowd: “This is for you, Ed.”
Neither camp are yet to comment on the romance rumours. Ed was most recently linked to 23-year-old Selena Gomez.
