During the candid chat with the fashion bible, the Hawaiian-born starlet couldn’t contain her admiration for her husband of nine years, Keith Urban.

“I looked up at him at one point and I saw his tattoos and his foot going, and he had the guitar, and I was like, ‘God, I love that man. I’m so glad I’m in this world,’” she beamed to the glossy publication.

And the feeling is certainly mutual, with Keith recently telling Entertainment Tonight: “I’m chasing her all the time. That’s the way it should be.”

In fact, the mother to six-year-old Sunday Rose, and little four-year-old Faith Margaret, wishes she could have had more children with her handsome hubby.

The actress is also mother to two adopted children, Isabella and Connor Cruise, with her ex-husband, Tom Cruise.

When it came to the topic of her adopted children, she said: “I’ve experienced adoption. I’ve experienced birth with a genetic child. I’ve experienced surrogacy with a genetic child,” she explained.

“I speak openly about it because so many of my friends are discussing it. It’s important for other women to go, ‘I get it!'”

Nicole and Keith only have eyes for one another. Nicole admits there is a part of her that wishes she had met Keith earlier.

But for Nicole, she wishes there was more than nine years of marriage behind them.

“I wish I could have met him [Keith] much earlier and had way more children with him,” she said bluntly.

“But I didn’t. I mean, if I could have had two more children with him, that would have been just glorious. But as Keith says, ‘The wanting mind, Nicole. Shut it down.’”

Nicole met Keith in 2005 and a year later they married on June 25 at the Cardinal Cerretti Memorial Chapel in St Patrick’s Estate in Manly, Sydney.

In happier times: Nicole with her beloved late father, Anthony Kidman, who tragically passed away last year.

For the proud parents of two, it’s all about providing a solid family unity for their darling daughters, who go by the sweet nicknames of Sunny (Sunday Rose) and Fifi (Faith).

“Keith and I always say, ‘We’re doing a play. We’re doing a tour,’ because it is like that – the family has to do it together,” Nic quipped.

The actress, who recently celebrated her 48th birthday on June 20th, also touched on one the most difficult periods of her life, the death of her father, Anthony Kidman.

Last September, the celebrated psychologist and biochemist passed away suddenly in Singapore. Holding back tears, the Vogue author noted that the pain was still incredibly raw for Anthony’s eldest daughter.

“You’ve caught me at a time when I’m still recovering and in grief,” Nicole admitted. “There are times you go, ‘Gosh, I wish I could just go and hide in a hole and never come out.’ And then you go, ‘That was yesterday.’ I have a four-year-old and a six-year-old, and just hearing their laugh… it’s life in its most powerful form.”

Nic, as pictured in the Vogue 73 Questions video, was refreshingly candid as she shared some sweet tidbits about her life.

The actress was incredibly candid during the infamous Vogue’s latest “73 Questions” series (they once got Victoria Beckham to admit why she doesn’t smile!)

The Q&A unveiled a carefree side of the beloved Aussie including she likes to “make love,” to decompress.

Nicole also added that Nashville in Tennessee and Australia is where she calls home.

“I can read here,” Nicole explained about why she decided to live in Nashville as opposed to Hollywood. “I can write here. I can hike. I can take my kids to school. I can live the way I’ve always wanted to live… A life. A real life.”
