There’s nothing like a sisterly bond – and Nicole Kidman and her sister Antonia are proving it to everyone.
In fact, they’re even going so far as to show just how much they’d do for each other – foot massages and all.
Yes, you heard that correctly.
This morning, Nicole, 53, shared a video to Instagram featuring herself and younger sister Antonia, 50 as they spent some quality sister time together.
“Does anyone else out there do this for their sister? I mean come on… But I’m not doing it all day,” Nicole comically quipped alongside the video, where she sits on the floor rubbing foot cream into Antonia’s feet.
Her additional hastag #SisterPoints truly rings relevant here – we’re not sure we’d line up to do the same for our siblings. But if we did, we really hope we’d also get plenty of points.
Nicole and Antonia share a special bond as sisters, with the pair having largely spent their adult lives in separate countries as Nicole travels internationally for work. That said, they’ve always made time for each other.
And COVID has had a small silver lining – Nicole came back to Australia from her home in Nashville last year where she’s remained with her family.
Speaking to Marie Claire in November, Nicole said of finally getting back to Australia: “The whole time during COVID, I couldn’t pop home and see my family, which was really tough. I missed my mum’s 80th and her knee operation, so now I’m just trying to be here.”
“Last night, I dropped the kids at a sleepover, and then visited Mum. Friends are asking, “What did you do last night?” and I’m like, “I watched a documentary with my mum!” That’s my big Saturday night.”
Speaking about reuniting with her younger sister Antonia, who has four children in Sydney, Nicole said she had been pivotal in helping her settle in with her own two daughters, Sunday and Faith.
Nicole’s husband Keith Urban sadly had to return to America for a while, but Nicole turned to her family for support.
“My sister’s staying over and my mum’s helping; I don’t have that help in Nashville so that’s been incredible,” she said to the New York Times last year.
“When Keith went to Nashville and I had to work late nights, I rang Ant and asked her to move in with the girls and she did, and brought along her kids.”
She finished: “That’s special. It’s the nature of what we’re all having to do now – you get to be commune-like; this extended family where you’re all raising each other’s kids together.”
